DARTFORDIANS GIRLS U16 CLEAR KENT

Dartfordians Girls Rugby smash it again after six players have been chosen for the England Rugby Developing Player Pathway (ERDPP) in the 2023-24 season.

The ERDPP is a player development experience led by Kent RFU that provides high-quality training, enabling those with a clear talent in rugby to be given individualized support in order to be identified and encourage commitment to the sport.

The girls had to partake in difficult trials in which they were assessed on 4 key criteria: (1) Athleticism (effort and work rate), (2) Run, catch, and pass, (3) Busyness (communication, decision making, actions off the ball), and (4) tackle/contact. The girls clearly did brilliantly in all and as a result, were selected for the pathway.

With it only being the second year of the ERDPP running, it seems as though Dartfordians Girls can tackle any obstacle thrown at them, and have already got stuck right in. A huge congratulations to the six girls chosen: Darcey Moore, Lucy Cardwell, Phoebe King, Miley-Louise Scotland, Caitlin Rooney and Anna Vosper. We can’t wait to see you smash it!

Catherine Morris, Chair of the Women and Girls section at Dartfordians RFC, writes:

"Dartfordians Women’s and Girls section are extremely proud to announce that six of our under 16 girls have been selected to represent Kent via the England Rugby Developing Player Pathway (ERDPP) for the 2023-24 season. This is an incredible achievement for the girls and testament to the hard work they have put in to improving their game and striving to be the best that they can be on and off the pitch."

Jarrod Lawrence, Chair of Dartfordians RFC, writes:

"It is a great achievement for the girls and shows the importance of the Club's commitment to building it's Women and Girls section. To be selected to represent the County is a huge honour and the Club wishes the girls well for their representative season and is another highlight within Dartfordians RFC 100th Anniversary season."
