On Friday 23rd June, 5 local schools came along to Dartfordians Rugby club for yet another great afternoon of competitive Tag rugby. Each school bought along a year 5 & 6 girl’s team and a boy’s team respectively. Volunteers from Dartfordian’s coaching teams kicked off the afternoon with a fun warm up session followed by a round robin of games.

The heat was intense but that didn’t stop the children from getting stuck in and putting the refs through their paces. The tries kept flowing and the games were tight, but the competitiveness of the teams really kicked in to help move them up the leader board. All the teams played really well and after the games were all played, the children were rewarded with the all-important hotdogs and trophies for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place along with a bag of goodies for every child.

If you’re child is looking for a great competitive team sport, then rugby is just the game. Dartfordian’s have summer training sessions for school years 5 – 13 on a Saturday 10-11.30 for the Girls until August and Sunday morning session for the Boys from end of July.
